Position: Part-Time Building Secretary, I
Schedule: 25hrs/week, preferred hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00-1:00
Flexible hours for the right candidate during Town Hall business hours Monday - Friday, 8:00-4:00
Wages: $17.70 - $25.64 (max) – Labor Grade 3, depending on qualifications
Duties:

This position provides customer service to the public seeking assistance with building permits and general inquires at the Town Hall Land Use Office.

Performs a range of administrative, technical and clerical support functions to building related functions.

Responsible for building department administration, including the issuance of building permits, electrical, plumbing and gas permits. Coordinates activity of inspectors and handles correspondence.
Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of office procedures, computer programs and equipment, and bookkeeping.

Proficient skill in computers and software applications (Office365, Word, Outlook, Excel).

Aptitude for numbers and details. Excellent organizational and office management skills.

Proficient customer service skills.
