40th Annual Goffstown Gallop - Saturday June 22, 2019

This year we will be hosting the 40th Annual David French Goffstown Gallop on Saturday June 22, 2019!30124094 2000154883568026 3725300228476108800 n

When the race started in 1979, it was run by a crew of people manually timing the results of the race. Upon crossing the finish line, you were handed a tongue depressor with a number as to your finish placement. Dave French would be controlling the finish shoot, reminding everyone “keep them in order, keep them in order”

In 2011, we branched into electronic timing with the help from Delta Dental and Granite State Race Services. In 2014, we went to online registration with lightbox.

The Goffstown Gallop is still the same race it was back in 1979 with many participants returning year after year to enjoy the comradery of running and the active social environment.

For the 40th Anniversary, Arlon Chaffee (GRVAL Cycling) will be donating some vintage tongue depressors for each finisher. For those who remember this, we hope you find it nostalgic. For those new to this, remember to “keep them in order” and don’t lose your tongue depressor. Not to worry though, Granite State Race service will provide the timing with quick results.

Registration for this race will be through the link: http://www.lightboxreg.com/goffstown-gallop-2019?mobile=0

Pre-registration is $20 and Day of Registration will be $25

Paper registration for the race can be found here: https://goffstown.recdesk.com/Community/Page?pageId=12232

Paper forms will need to be printed out and either mailed to Goffstown Parks and Recreation at 16 Main St. Goffstown, NH or hand delivered to the Parks and Recreation building with cash or check payment. Forms sent in without payment will not be fully registered until payment is received.
