Zoning Petitions Now Being Accepted PDF Print E-mail

The first day to accept zoning petition begins November 14, 2011, and ends December 14, 2011. All petitions must be submitted during regular business hours and be signed by at least 25 registered voters that reside in the town of Goffstown. Petitions may be turned into the Selectmen/Administrationís office located on the second floor of Town Hall, at 16 Main Street, Goffstown, NH 03045. Hours are Monday ¬Ė Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, see the Planning Department or call 497-8990 ext 117 for assistance.

 
Overnight Parking Ban PDF Print E-mail

Goffstown Overnight Parking ban starts 11/15/11 until 4/15/11. Warnings will be issued the first couple of weeks, then parking tickets.

The Goffstown Police Department is advising all residents and visitors of the Overnight No Parking Ban that will take effect on November 15, 2011 to April 15, 2012. Officers will issue warnings for overnight parking for the first couple of weeks, then parking violations will be issued.

The Town of Goffstown purchased land near the transfer station, known as the Barnard / Pare’ land in 2011.

The Board of Selectmen have met with the Department Heads to obtain their views and input. The Parks and Recreation Commissioners have been placed in charge of heading the development / design of this land and will report to The Board of Selectmen with a facility layout by year end December 2011. This design will then enable the DPW to extract the minerals/ soils as the area is prioritized.

The Parks and Recreation Commissioners have begun the process by meeting one on one with the following groups, asking their interest/needs regarding this land; Goffstown Babe Ruth Softball, Goffstown Jr. Baseball, Goffstown Babe Ruth Baseball, Tri Town United Travel Soccer, Tri Town Soccer Recreational, Goffstown Youth Football, and Goffstown HS Athletics.

The Parks and Recreation Commission are inviting all interested parties from the public to attend an information night on Wednesday November 16, 2011, 7:00 PM at the Parks and Recreation Building. The meeting will be lead by our commission and an architect from Huntress Associates. We welcome all of the Goffstown community and hope that many will attend to provide input on this area’s design to enhance our community.

A regional shelter will open at Manchester Memorial High School on Porter Street at 5PM Sunday October 30th.  Goffstown residents that plan to go to the shelter are asked to call the Gofffstown Police Department at 603-497-4858 to let them know.

Parents of autistic children and families afflicted with mental/medical health disabilities are invited to register their children with the police department on November 16, 2011.

In conjunction with Easter Seals of Manchester, the New Hampshire 911 call center, and the Goffstown Fire Department, the Goffstown Police Department is sponsoring a registration session for families affected by autism and other mental/medical health concerns. The registration process involves taking a photograph and some basic information about the child/family member and their family, which can be available to emergency first responders in the event of an emergency. This process is designed to help police officers and other first responders know where children and adults afflicted with autism or other mental/medical health disabilities live and where they might wander to in a time of crisis.

This is an open invitation to all families who feel that registering their family member may assist emergency first responders in the event of an emergency.  This is the Fifth such event held at police headquarters since 2007.

Children & afflicted persons being registered will also be able to check out emergency vehicles and get acquainted with community first responders. Registration will take place at the police department on November 16, 2011, from 5:30 p.m. ¬Ė 7:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Captain Robert Browne at 497-4858 or Communications Specialist Heidi Roberge.

Voter Checklist Corrections & Registrations PDF Print E-mail

The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session at the Town Hall, in the Administration Office, Room 208, at 16 Main Street, Goffstown, NH, on Friday, October 14, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of making corrections to the checklist and for new voter registrations. 

Change of address and party affiliation changes can be made at this time. ***October 14th is the last time that registered voters may change their party affiliation prior to the Presidential Primary. 

If you are registering to vote, please bring photo ID, proof of date of birth and residence address. Anyone not born in the United States must also bring proof of citizenship.

Any person with a disability who needs to be provided a reasonable accommodation in order to participate, please call the Town Hall (497-8990 ext 100) at least 72 hours in advance so that arrangements can be made.

Due to resignations of three member there is an opening on the Budget Committee until the March 2012 election. The Budget Committee meets the second Wednesday of the month and as needed during budget season. If you are interested in serving, then please complete a Volunteer Application which is available from the Administration Office at Town Hall or download by clicking here.
