Parks & Recreation has moved to online registrations for all programs. Please follow the below

instructions to register for all programs.

Program registration steps: Registration Link https://goffstown.recdesk.com/community
1. Set up a user profile for you and all family members that will be participating in a program now or in the future
2. Wait for approval from the Parks & Recreation Department
3. After approval you will receive an email confirming that your online account has beenapproved.
4. At this point you are now ready to register for programs as they become available.(WE WILL NO LONGER BE
TAKING PAPER REGISTRATIONS)
* When registering a child for a program please remember to use their (Participants)name -this is why you
need to set up a profile for all family members.*
5. After you register for a program you will receive an invoice via email.
6. Print invoice and return to Parks & Recreation with your payment(payable to Town of Goffstown), either mail
or hand deliver (Mailing Address: 16 Main Street,Goffstown, NH 03045)
7. If you register for a program that does not have a fee then you will not have to send in the invoice.


Youth Lacrosse: For Boys & Girls in Grades 3-8

Parks & Recreation Lacrosse registration is now open. 2017 Teams this year include: Girls 10U, Girls 12U, Girls 14U, Boys 10U, Boys 12U & Boys 14U. Deadline to register for the 10U, 12U& 14U teams is 2/24/17. Visit spring programs for more program info. All program registrations are now done online through the recdesk website. YOGA for Golden Agers:

Misty Brisiel will be hosting FREE yoga classes for Golden Agers on Fridays, 10:15 AM beginning December 2nd. Misty is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Instructor. The classes will be held at the Parks and Recreation Department located at 155 So. Mast. St. Goffstown, NH

Who is it for? Well, Yoga is for everyone! Yes, really. You do not have to be flexible or be able to touch your toes.

So why practice yoga? Because every person’s body is different. You may be looking to improve your mobility, or perhaps you spend much of your day sitting and need some ideas for how to keep moving. Perhaps being on the floor is uncomfortable and you would explore chair yoga. Maybe you’d like to modify your current yoga practice.

Benefits of Yoga include: *builds strength increases flexibility *lubricates joints, improves balance, relaxes the body *improves concentration *better bonehealth protects the spine boosts immune system provides peace of mind *encourages self-care *encourages healthy lifestyle

Bone Builders – Strengthening Seniors one class at a time:Bone Builders is a strength training and balance exercise program to prevent and reverse osteoporosis. Participants are encouraged to call Parks & Recreation to register(497-8990 X402). This class helps build bone density & improves balance, weights will be provided. This program is free and all are encouraged to attend. Bone Builders will take place on Mondays & Wednesdays 10am at the Parks & Recreation Building.

Adult Social:

Goffstown Parks & Recreation and The Goffstown Library will be sponsoring an Adult 55+ Social the 1st Friday of the Month. Our next meeting will be on March 3rd at 10am. The topic will be Adult Self-Defense taught by Officer Jackie Pelletier from the Goffstown Police Department. April 7th will be a guest speaker from SNHS regarding fiber in your diet , the May 12th topic will include "Eating the Rainbow-Love your fruits , veggies. Light refreshments will be served. Join our Local Goffstown Latina Jenn Hebert every Monday , Wednesday from 530-630pm for a Zumba Fitness class that will bring latin and international rhythms from around the world. Jenn is well known for her high energy, packed classes , crazy passion to inspire others to shake their hips, sweat and smile! She also provides modifications for all fitness levels. Goffstown Cub Scout Pack 99 (Ages 6-10)- Cub Scouting is a year- round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys and their parents. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Service projects, ceremonies, games, and other activities guide boys through the core values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Through positive peer group interaction and parental guidance, boys also learn honesty, bravery, and respect. Family involvement is an essential part of Cub Scouting, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in the program. Through interaction between parents, leaders, and friends, boys learn citizenship, compassion, and courage. This family- and community-centered approach to learning means that Cub Scouting is truly time well spent!
